WinDVR Patch for Trial version to Full version

• WinDVR Patch for Trial version to Full version (If you have windows XP recovery CD dated OCT 25, 2002 or later, you do not have to apply this patch.)
• The version of InterVideo WinDVR TV Tuner Software included on your system is a trial version. As a special bonus for selecting the Fry's PC we would like to offer you a free upgrade to the full version.

Modem Issues
Please update your modem driver through the modem properties in the control panel. The correct driver has been installed into your system, but the system chose the wrong driver.

• Get into device manager as follows:
1. Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware -> Device Manager -> Modem -> select "Lucent Win Modem" (double click) -> driver -> select "update driver"
2. Select " Install from a list or Specific Location" -> Select " Don't search, I will choose the driver to install" -> Next ->
3. Select "Lucent Win Modem(Lucent) "(The 4th item in the driver list) -> and hit Continue Anyway
4. It will update the correct driver.
• After update, the driver version should be 8.22 from Lucent(not Microsoft) and Date is 4/10/2002
• If you have installed any ISP program, please uninstall it, after the modem driver update, reinstall the ISP(AOL, Earthlink, etc....)


• Then the modem will work no any problem.

BIOS update
This bios update, version 1.0a (a download link to bios file), enhances system performance including a fast boot for Windows XP. If you find dropping frames while playing MPEG files, please make sure you do have this bios update. However, after the bios update please remember to reinstall the USB 2.0 Driver that is currently installed in your system. You could find USB20.exe file for USB 2.0 driver available at your "mainboard support CD version 1.6s" under /USB/SIS folder or download the USB 2.0 driver for Windows XP here (provide a link). Below are files and instruction you will need to update bios and reinstall USB 2.0 driver.

Ulead DVD Movie Factory Application

If you are having trouble burning DVD+R/+RW from your Ulead DVD Movie Factory Application, please try updating the latest ULCDRDrv.dll and copy this file to "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ulead Systems\DVD". You can overwrite the existing file that is currently located there.

In case you would like to install device drivers manually, here is the driver path list. Use Mainboard support CD 1.6s for the following devices

I have uninstalled Ulead Video Studio program, how do I reinstall Ulead Video Studio program?
Due to license issue, most of the software/applications are bundled in the recovery CD only. There will be no separate software CDs such as WINDVR, Corel WordPerfect, Ulead Video studio…etc in the system package. In some cases, if you accidentally remove or uninstall any application, you may utilize windows XP restore function or recovery CD to have the application back in the system. Please be very carefully that once you run windows XP recovery CD, everything on your hard drive will be erased and restored back to factory default.
