Q: Why do the USB ports stopped working after I installed USB 2.0 drivers from the CD?

Answer:

Please uninstall the old USB 2.0 drivers under the device manager and install the following:

Updated USB 2.0 Driver

To uninstall, go into the device manager (start button-> right click on 'my computer' -> properties -> hardware -> device manager -> Universal Serial Bus Controller). Remove everything under Universal Serial Bus Controller and install the new USB 2.0 Driver.

Q: What is the Recovery CD for?

Answer:

The Recovery CD contains the original image of the hard drive. Running the CD will over write everything on the hard drive and restore it back to out-of-the-box conditions. This means all the data on your hard drive will be erased. For those who wish to duel boot their QuickNote, you will need to purchase a full retail version of Windows XP.

(Note: the recovery CD should only be used to reformat or recover your system from a major problem. Do not use it if the system is working properly.)
